Inside the Movement to Combat Veteran and First Responder Suicide

GOVX is honored to serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the 30-day virtual event.

The One Mile Challenge (OMC) is a month-long, virtual fitness fundraiser that turns daily one-mile walks into meaningful acts of support. Hosted every September during Suicide Awareness Month, the challenge is organized by Guardian Revival, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the mental health, resilience, and sense of community among military members, veterans, first responders and their families.

Participation is simple. Commit to walking, running, rucking, or rolling one mile every day for 30 days, on your own time, anywhere you want. Proceeds from the challenge directly fund Guardian Revival’s no-cost programs and peer services, from outdoor adventures and therapy dogs to music initiatives and one-on-one support.

DETAILS

The Challenge raises awareness and funds for suicide prevention among veterans and first responders.

The event is self-monitored and honor based. Participants track their own mileage and make up missed days.

Held every September, which is recognized as Suicide Awareness Month, participants total 30 miles over 30 days.
