9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
GOVX is honored to serve as a Presenting Sponsor for this year’s event.
Each year, active-duty firefighters, police officers, military personnel, and dedicated civilians gather right here in our own backyard at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront for the San Diego 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This powerful tribute honors the 403 emergency responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, with 110-stories climbed together, mirroring the firefighters World Trade Center towers ascent.
This year, however, will feel a little different. As we inch closer to the 25th anniversary of the fateful day, we’d like to make note that each climber solemnly carries a badge bearing the name and photo of a specific fallen hero, symbolically completing the journey they started.

With a 2026 goal of $120,000 raised, your donations contribute to FirefighterAid, San Diego based 501(c)(3) that provides charitable assistance to firefighters and families in crisis, and promotes awareness of firefighter health and safety issues and the impacts they have upon families and communities.
