The smoke has cleared. Here’s the official look back.

For a second consecutive year, we came, we saw, and we survived one heck of a NASCAR weekend deep in the desert. The second annual GOVX 200 is now in the books, and the time has come to rewind the clocks back about a month and break down all the big moments that made our second turn as the title sponsor even more epic than the first.
READY? LET’S ROLL.
THE PAT TILLMAN FOUNDATION WAS
PRESENTED WITH A BIG CHECK
As recent beneficiary of the GOVX Gives Back initiative, TEAM GOVX had the distinct honor of presenting a donation check of over $46.000 to the Pat Tillman Foundation in a pre-race ceremony. A contribution that was made possible by the combined efforts of the generous GOVX community and a matching donation courtesy of Manly Bands.
Founded to honor the enduring legacy of Pat Tillman, the Arizona Cardinals safety who famously walked away from the NFL to serve as a U.S. Army Ranger after 9/11—the Foundation is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders. For over two decades, they have invested in high-impact service members, veterans, and military spouses, providing:
To top it off, Dr. Katherine Steele, CEO and 2014 Tillman Scholar, also served as the GOVX 200 Honorary Starter.

BUDDA BAKER OF THE ARIZONA CARDINALS GOT IT STARTED
Uttering the most famous words in motorsports was none other than Cardinals Strong Safety and perennial pro-bowler Budda Baker. The 2x First Team All-Pro defensive stalwart served as this year’s Grand Marshal and later joined TEAM GOVX in the GOVX suite alongside teammate (and absolute unit) Zaven Collins to take in the race and rub shoulders with our guests. Later, Budda and his crew accompanied us down to Victory Lane for the trophy presentation.

THE GOVX COMMUNITY CLEANED US OUT OF CHALLENGE COINS
Over the course of the weekend, we had the privilege of interacting with thousands of NASCAR fans and their families at the GOVX booth in The Midway, many of whom happened to be GOVX members themselves.
In between the cornhole, conversations, and gift certificates won each day, we handed out copious amounts of limited-edition challenge coins to those who qualified. It was a great way for us to connect to heroes like you, learn your stories, and leave you with a souvenir. Thanks for stopping by.

DRIVER JUSTIN ALLGAIER TOOK HOME THE COVETED GOVX 200 TROPHY
For anyone who watched last year’s GOVX 200, a lasting image was of driver Justin Allgaier agonizing over his second-place finish after leading for much of this race.
This year, Allgaier wasn’t going to settle for anything less than the best, as he overtook Jesse Love late in the race to claim the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race for himself. Presented with the indomitable shield-shaped “X” trophy from our very own GOVX Chief Brand Officer Aaron Pelander, Allgaier and his crew celebrated big in Victory Lane.
WIENER TAKES ALL PRESENTED BY JOEY CHESTNUT AND CHARBROIL WAS A BIG HIT
If you ever have a chance to participate in a hot dog eating contest at 9am on a Sunday morning before a huge NASCAR race, we strongly recommend you do it. For WIENER TAKES ALL PRESENTED BY JOEY CHESTNUT, the 17x World Champion Competitive Eater joined 2017 National League Wild Card Game hero and Arizona Diamondbacks legend Archie “Hollywood” Bradley to host a carefully selected crew of GOVX members with military, law enforcement, and firefighter backgrounds in a 7-minute pre-race hot dog eating contest held at Victory Lane.
Chestnut, who proved to be a massive fan favorite amongst the NASCAR drivers and hype-commander Bradley teamed up to put on quite the show, while these proud Americans of service proved that it was a bad day to be a hot dog. In the end, a local Arizona wildland firefighter reigned supreme as the glizzy champ and was rewarded with a healthy of amount of GOVX credit.
