GovX Turns 10: Celebrating a Decade of Serving Those Who Serve 

Today, GovX celebrates a milestone. Ten years of serving Americans with military and government experience. Ten years of serving those who serve.

At the end of 2011, our first year in business, we welcomed the first fifty thousand members to the GovX community.

Now, ten years later, the GovX community is FIVE MILLION STRONG.

Five million men and women with experience serving their country. Their communities. Their fellow Americans. That’s why we use the phrase “Americans of service” when referring to our members. You’ve served in all branches of the Armed Forces. In police departments, fire departments, and medical communities in both big cities and small towns. And in government services across the nation.

Whether you’ve been one of our first fifty thousand members since the early days of GovX, or you just joined our community last week, we’re proud to have each and every one of you aboard.

The GovX mission remains unchanged since day one.

Our goal from the start was simple: Support those who serve. We started by doing what we knew best: We built a catalog of gear and apparel available at exclusive prices.

But we had bigger aspirations than just a kick-ass catalog of gear deals for your on- and off-duty lives. We wanted to achieve a level of business viability that would let us financially support the communities we serve. In other words, we wanted to put our money where our mouths were.

We didn’t want to just say we supported military and first responder communities. We wanted to actually do it.

So we did.

One of our proudest achievements is GovX Gives Back, the charitable arm of GovX that allowed us to reach the recent milestone of over half a million dollars raised for nonprofits serving your communities.

We couldn’t have done it without you. Through your individual orders on our catalog and through sales of the Patch of the Month, GovX members across the nation fueled our charitable efforts. And this year, we’re proud to bolster our support for your communities by contributing 5% of all GovX Gear sales to organizations supporting those who serve. The more our brand grows, the more support we can provide for nonprofits like FirefighterAid, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Workshop For Warriors, National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Fund, Team Rubicon, and so many more.

We also wanted to expand access for military and first responder discounts.

We wanted your GovX membership to be a VIP pass for the deals you deserve, wherever you shop.

Our efforts here continue to expand through GovX ID, the technology that allows those who serve our country and communities to save on a growing number of brands and services on and offline. With over 1,600 stores offering discounts through GovX ID, combined with the brands on, there are now over 2,000 brands supporting our mission and serving GovX members.

We’re especially proud of the long-term relationships we have built with our brand partners, including those run by veterans and first responders themselves. Some of them have actively participated in our mission, like Born Primitive, the veteran run fitness apparel brand who joined us in donating to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America earlier this year.

Our mission continues into the next decade ... and we welcome many decades more.

To every American who is part of our community of five million members, thank you for being with us. Thank you for shopping and helping us support your allies, friends, and families.

But most of all, thank you for being who you are. Thank you for being an American of service.
