GOVX is honored to officially serve as a Proud Partner of the Tampa Bay Lightning and co-presenting sponsor of their Military Salute platform including the Standing Salute, Military Appreciation Night, and other community events. This multi-year partnership will kick-off with the 2026-27 NHL season.

STORMING THEIR WAY TO THE TOP
Get ready, Bolts Nation, the 2026–27 season is setting up to be another wild ride in the Bay. After clinching a 9th consecutive playoff spot last season, the 3-time Stanley Cup champs have their expectations set appropriately high with Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Jake Guentzel, and Brandon Hagel leading the offensive charge, and world-class goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy between the pipes. Mix in a few top prospects, and they have all the pieces needed to make another deep playoff run.
IN SUPPORT OF SERVICE
Tampa's ties to the military runs deep, anchored by MacDill Air Force Base, CENTCOM, and SOCOM right in its backyard. The Tampa Bay Lightning show that same commitment on and off the ice, championing local service members through community outreach, adaptive hockey initiatives like the Lightning Warriors, and honoring heroes on the ice at every home game.
THE STANDING SALUTE
19,000 fans, one powerful moment. The Standing Salute brings Lightning fans to their feet every home game to honor local military heroes and their incredible service. During a designated stoppage in play, each hero is recognized as their career achievements are featured on the videoboard.
MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT CO-PRESENTED BY GOVX
A night built to honor the brave. Lightning Military Appreciation Night brings the community together with special tributes, in-game stories, and real gratitude for our military members and their families. Date TBA.
MILITARY COMMUNITY EVENTS OVERVIEW
Front and center for the upcoming season, GOVX is proud to participate in the following community programs as a Military Partner Platform sponsor.
- Lightning Military Kid’s Hockey Camps:
Lightning Community & Hockey Development leverages the sport of hockey to empower the Tampa area, growing the game at all levels while actively giving back to the community that calls it home. Dates TBD.
- Lightning Foundation Event
In partnership with local military organizations, The Lightning Foundation hosts an annual event at Benchmark International Arena dedicated to honoring local military personnel and their families. This signature event brings the community together to provide essential resources alongside unforgettable experiences. Date TBD.
- C.H.A.R.G.E. Volunteer Event
Dedicated to strengthening Tampa, Vinik Sports Group and Lightning employees contribute a minimum of 40 volunteer hours annually through the C.H.A.R.G.E. initiative. Over the last eight years, volunteers have completed more than 45,000 hours of community service with over 200 local non-profit organizations.
LIGHTNING TICKET DISCOUNTS ON GOVX
As a benefit of the partnership, the GOVX community are now eligible to save on tickets to Lightning home games all season long, starting with the home opener on Saturday, October 3rd against the Washington Capitals.
