We're off and running on Sunday, March 22th.
There’s plenty ways to see San Diego, but not all of them involves a sunrise start and a shiny finisher’s medal. 2026 marks the 15th annual San Diego Marathon, and our third consecutive year sponsoring this epic race, right here in our backyard. With each race, we’ve seen a growing number of GOVX members join the ranks of the runners, from local military members to medical professionals and educators, so naturally, we're hyped for what’s to come. Here’s the official rundown.

wear blue: run to remember
The 2026 GOVX Half Marathon and 5K is proud to partner with wear blue: run to remember, the military non-profit dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of American servicemembers through active remembrance. Since 2010, the organization has honored thousands of fallen heroes, with athletes worldwide joining in weekly tributes.
For this year’s marathon, all participants are invited to take part in a meaningful Circle of Remembrance ceremony during the pre-race festivities. In this powerful moment of reflection, the names of the fallen will be spoken aloud and their legacies carried forward.
